Life’s Lessons
What I learned in college:
- I’m not dumb
- I am almost equally left-brained and right-brained
- I can lead and motiviate people
- College is a money-making industry
- Honor students are not necessary emotionally or mentally healthy
- I can teach myself anything without paying for it
What I learned from experiencing life:
- The outdoors is one of the best teachers
- Experiencial learning is best
- Being smart doesn’t make you a happy or effective person
- I have a lot to learn
What I learned this last year (without school):
- To be happy
- To enjoy being alone
- Rediscovered the wonder of exploration and play
- To let go of stuff that serves no purpose
- That people will only treat you as poorly as you let them treat you
- That the soul continues after the body dies
- To trust my intuition–no matter what anyone else says
